How we measure the site

We use one first-party analytics cookie to count page visits and recognise a returning visitor anonymously, so we can see which guides are useful and whether the site works. It stays on your device, on our own domain. We never share it with ad networks and never use it to track you across other websites.

Cookies we use

One first-party analytics cookie, set by PostHog through our own domain. You can block or delete it any time in your browser settings, and the site keeps working without it. We may also use strictly necessary browser storage for basic platform behavior. When you choose an affiliate link, the link opens through Awin before reaching the merchant. Awin or the merchant may then use cookies or similar identifiers under their own policies to attribute a purchase.

Tools we use

• PostHog for product analytics, hosted in the EU. Traffic is routed through our own domain (a reverse proxy at /ingest), and it sets one first-party analytics cookie. We do not share it with third parties. PostHog also records anonymized session replays (how visitors scroll and click around the site) so we can see what is confusing and fix it. Everything you type is masked before it ever leaves your browser, and replays are deleted after 30 days.
• Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for aggregate page metrics and performance. These are cookieless and do not identify you.
• Google Search Console shows us how pages perform in Google Search. Google processes that search data on Google's side.
• Awin provides affiliate-link attribution on clearly marked commercial links. We send a page-level click reference, not your name or email. Awin may process the click and set tracking identifiers after you choose the link.

We do not sell your data or run display advertising. Affiliate tracking is limited to measuring whether a marked merchant link leads to a qualifying purchase.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or object to its processing. Email david@aircondition.guide and we will handle it. Our analytics are anonymous and not linked to your name or email, so in practice there is little personal data to delete, and you can clear the analytics cookie yourself in your browser at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD).

Retention and changes

We keep analytics only as long as it is useful for improving the site. If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, where required, ask for consent.
